TITLE
In some areas particularly designed for tourists you can see an increased amount of conflict seekers. E.g. in Pattaya many men provoke conflict with others. It can usually be easily avoided by neglecting it. But it is very pronounced. In the immigration office it seems organized: Many people can line up to delay queues, hinder passage. The men are foreign in the office. A few are women.
They could be hired to do this in order to keep conflict among men going. Stopping men from uniting against the anti-white-male (‘pale male stale’) agenda is central to globalization. There is a museum in Khun Sa house
I met a group of Burmese monks there. They invited me to pansang/burma which I failed to reach on several trips. So far I have met them in Tachilek and Kentung.
But respect for Thailand. All has been cleared up now and where Khun Sa had his base there is now paved road and 7/11. No drugs to be seen today.
I enjoy the smiles since most people are friendly here. I fear the great leap forward that some want LOS to take will make people grumpy.

Inte varit i den här tråden på länge men är kvar här i The kingdom of wonder.
Sihanoukville ser faktiskt helt okej ut nu och har en vän som var ner dit och verkligen gillade det. Ska vara lite som före invasionen av kineserna att dom finns men mest är på sina hotell eller kasinon så att dom inte förstör för alla andra och det finns åter igen billiga bostäder att hyra och man kan bo där som viting. Sen är ju infrastrukturen helt ny mot hur det var när jag bodde där också. Om man gillar det eller inte är väl upp till var och en men verkar vara ett bra ställe igen nu om man vill bo i en stad vid havet så man har lite av både och.
Nu pratar man även åter igen om att göra det svårare att stanna på arbetsvisum. Jag betalar som vanligt 20 dollar extra för 1 år visum utan dokument men nu får vi se. Det är inte första gången dom påstår att det ska bli mer strikt men sen efter en månad så är det som vanligt igen men man vet aldrig. 17 oktober skulle dom nya hårdare reglerna gälla iaf som inkluderar att man endast får 3mån visum tills man har arbetstillstånd och skattepapper från företaget man arbetar för.
Får se. Gissar att det inte kommer bli så mycket svårare i praktiken.

Det räcker ju att gå tillbaka 10-15 år så var Kambodja ett av de finaste och lugnaste länderna. Folk var schyssta. Men först ökade turismen. Man såg hur fok tröttnade allt mer på utlänningar. Det började runt Psar Tmey och Psar Toul Tom Pong. Sedan kom kineserna. KPS hade rasat ur när jag var där för ett par år sedan. Nu har kineserna tydligen börjat använda landet för trafficking av anställda för Internetbedrägerier.

Visum var inget problem förr. En gång sökte jag kambodjanskt visum i Saigon. Vi satt i trädgården och han hade klisterlapparna i fickan. Jag gissar det finns metoder fortfarande. En del vietnameser kom nog över mindre gränspassager i vans.
Men du bor ju där sedan länge så du vet ju hur det utvecklas. Verkligen intressant om SHV har kunnat komma tillbaka. Kineser håller sig ju mycket i sina resegrupper, går på casino, spelar kort, mahjong och äter mat. Den gamla infrastrukturen var en del av charmen, men det låter intressant om det går i rätt riktning. För ett par år sedan var Kampot ganska outvecklat, men en del som bodde där misstänkte att det skulle gå samma väg som SHV. Kineserna köpte upp i smyg, sade de.

Regeringen backar på alla fronter vad jag sett. Kachin (Jingpo), Kokang, Wa och andra knyter förmodligen kontakter med Kina. Shan, Karen (Kayah, Long neck) knyter kontakter med Thailand. En del Shan jobbar redan inofficiellt i Chiang Mai etc. Deras språk ligger så nära Thai att thailändarna inte kan höra att de kommer från Burma om de bara vistats 3-4 månader i Thailand.
Förhoppningsvis rensar väl Thai ut opiet om de knyter tätare kontakter med Thailand.
Nobelpristagaren Aung San Suu Kyi försvarade militärregimen (mot Rohingya) i ICC men hon åkte i fängelse när armén kuppade igen. Armén kontrollerar nog den burmesiska etniciteten.
Fotbollslaget de räddade i grottan nära Mae Sai kom ju delvis från dessa trakter. De hamnade i Storbritannien. Lagkaptenen begick självmord tidigare i år, 17 år gammal. Han var Thai.
TL;DR
Militärregimen verkar ha tappat greppet om östra Burma som förmodligen blir självständiga och troligen knyter kontakter med Kina och Thailand.
